Points competition – January 2017

points

We started 2017 with a fairly quiet few weeks. Most of the points are from weekly attendance with no significant badges being completed in the period. We’ve rebalanced the sixes to compensate for gaps left by leavers last term.

Congratulations to the Yellows who’s solid performance saw them edge ahead of their nearest rivals, the greens.

Our Cub of the Month was James S who was helped by earning his skills challenge by doing work at home.

Points competition – July 2016

points

July was a short month with only three weeks of meetings. However, it included the sailing taster which earned a number of our Cubs two activity badges (+20 each). We’ve not added in badges earned at Sussex100 as they will be presented in September. At the end of the month it was the Yellows who had pulled ahead to take the top spot.

The Cub of the Month competition was incredibly close with our winner being just a single point ahead of a number of Cubs and no less than nine Cubs being within 5 points. So well done to Aiden for ending up as our Cub of the Month.

Points competition – May 2016

points

May has been a busy month with many points on offer. In addition to Jamboree on the trail, most Cubs completed their Emergency Aid stage 2 badge, earning a nice +20. The Reds and Yellows had been neck and neck for most of the month but in the end it was the Yellows that triumphed, but only by 24 points.

We’re pleased to record that the Cub of the Month for April was Robin who narrowly beat some other Cubs that did not join us for our half term meeting.

Points competition – March 2016

points

There were plenty of points on offer during March, including the +20 for those that have completed their fire safety badge. A couple of weeks of team games also pushed up the six scores.  The Blues continue to dominate the competition, back on top after being beaten by the Yellows last month.

We’re pleased to record that the Cub of the Month for March was again Abi who increased her score by becoming Seconder in Yellows.

Points competition – February 2016

points

The February scores include +20s for badges earned at our weekend camp. Low attendance in half term also helped the 6 cubs that came along for our night hike. We’ve tried to balance out the sixes with our new Beavers but the Greens continue to suffer from poor attendance. Missing out on the +10 for being there at 6.30pm when we want to start and up to a further +10 for inspection can make quite a hole in the points totals.

We’re pleased to record that the Cub of the Month for February was Abi who’s additional badgework at home pushed up her score.
