Points competition – September 2016

There were large totals in the points competition for September. This was partly due to it getting badge points from both Sussex100 and our Brazil weekend camp. After the Brazil camp we had over 60 badges to award so that certainly explains the large scores.

We haven’t seen the mighty Greens on the top of the pile for some time but this was helped by the whole six coming to camp – the only six that managed it.

The Cub of the Month competition was another close run event with our winner just two points ahead of her nearest rival. Fortunately both were in the same six which helped the Greens increase their score. We’re pleased to record that the Cub of the Month for September was Emily who wins the title for the first time after doing extra badgework during the summer holidays.

Points competition – July 2015

July was only a 3 week month so we didn’t see any spectacular scores. In the end it was a very close competition with the Greens just pipping the Blues to the post by 1 point.

Cub of the Month was similarly close with our best Cub, Aiden, being just two points ahead of his nearest rival. He was last our top scorer in April 2015.

Points competition – December 2014

There have been lots of points up for grabs this month with our overnight camp, artists badge and then bag packing all earning points for those who took part. Congratulations to the Greens who were out in front again – helped by a good attendance at bag packing.

Well done to Craig who came along, perhaps reluctantly, to bag packing to do his duty but as a result completed his Promise challenge and with its +30 points ended up as our Cub of the Month.

We’re planning some changes to the Six of the Month competition from January. We’ll tell you more when we launch the Spring programme.

Points competition – September 2014

It has been a close battle all month between the Reds and the Greens but it was the Greens that came through in the end. All the scores a quite high this month as they include badges earned at Summer Camp and Nowhurst.

We want to get the sixes working better as a team so hopefully we’ll see the results of this in future months scores.

Our Cub of the Month was Adam, helped by the points gained by completing his Chief Scout’s Silver Award. Well done.
