Points competition – Mar & Apr 2018

Wit the Easter holidays we only had a few pack meetings in March and April so have joined them together into one competition.

In this period the points include attendance at the St George’s Day event where 12 Cubs represented the pack and earned +10 points each.

At the end of the month the Yellows pushed ahead to knock the Greens off the top spot.

Our Cub of the Month was Adam who is one of our newest members but attends regularly and comes to our weekend activities too.

Points competition – February 2018

Our points for February include those for badges earned at our weekend pack holiday at Runway’s End. With each activity badge being worth +20 points it can make all the difference.

The Yellows have won for the last two months but this month they are back in third place. So it is congratulations to the Greens who were last on top in October 2017.

Our Cub of the Month was Lukas who completed a number of activity badges at camp and also earned his Skills challenge. Remember that you can do some work towards the Skills challenge at home – just complete the worksheet and bring it in.

Points competition – January 2018

After our chat about sixes working at home to earn some badges the points totals for January were increased by a number of badges being awarded.

At one point the two top sixes were just 4 points apart. However, the “young voices at the O2” event counted towards the entertainer and personal challenge badges as it did last year. In addition some people found their missing home safety badge homework from last year and returned that. Finally, the Billingshurst U10 footballers were nominated for their physical recreation badges by their coach and that affected 4 Cubs. With each activity badge being worth +20 points it can make all the difference.

At the end of the month the Yellows held on to their lead that they established last month.

Our Cub of the Month was Finn who completed a number of badges during the month and was one of the nominated footballers.

Points competition – December 2017

The December competition was rather a short one as we only had three pack meetings. As a result the totals were quite low.

However, badgework done at home helped push the Yellows into a significant lead.

Our Cub of the Month was Joshua who completed a number of badges during the month

Points competition – November 2017

The November competition includes extra +20s from the remainder of Cubs completing their home safety badgework followed by those that completed their communicator badges.

In addition we have Remembrance Sunday which includes points for all those that attend with extra points to those with a special role such as laying the wreath. As a result there are some high scores but also a very close result for the top two places.

Our Cub of the Month was Jasmine who completed her challenge badges and gained her Chief Scout’s Silver Award during the month.
