Points competition – November 2017

The November competition includes extra +20s from the remainder of Cubs completing their home safety badgework followed by those that completed their communicator badges.

In addition we have Remembrance Sunday which includes points for all those that attend with extra points to those with a special role such as laying the wreath. As a result there are some high scores but also a very close result for the top two places.

Our Cub of the Month was Jasmine who completed her challenge badges and gained her Chief Scout’s Silver Award during the month.

Points competition – May 2017

With a 5 week month including St George’s Day parade the scores are high again.

At the end of the month the mighty Blues managed to hang onto the Best Six crown for the third consecutive month although this time it was the Yellows that were snapping at their heels.

Our Cub of the Month was Emily who completed several badges at home during the Easter holidays and earned those important extra  points.

Points competition – March 2017

It was another high scoring month as we included the points awarded in our swimmers badge validation evenings. We also made some changes to the sixes and so had new Sixers and Seconds to appoint, each earning a nice +25.

At the end of the month the mighty Blues managed to hang onto the Best Six crown for another month although the Greens were not far behind.

Our Cub of the Month was Robin who became Sixer of Greens and also completed some badgework at home which earned him extra points.

Points competition – February 2017

Our navigator’s weekend camp at Walton Firs and the work on the road safety badge helped push up the scores this month. We also had points earned by those who were in the group Gang Show and those who joined us for our dark evening in the woods in half term also helped their score.

At the end of the month things were a lot closer than they have been recently with just 2 points separating the top two teams. So it is congratulations to the Blues who managed to edge ahead of last month’s winners, the Yellows.

Our Cub of the Month was Jasmine who increased her score by earning badges at camp and by taking part in the Gang Show. Well done.

Points competition – December 2016

points

Our last points competition of 2016 saw a short month with only 3 pack meetings. However, there were still a few stragglers who gained their personal safety badge and of course points for those that came to the District Promise Party to help increase the scores.

With all the sixes fairly close together it was the Blues that pulled into the lead, partly due to their good attendance and taking part in all our activities.

Our Cub of the Month was Harry who has recently joined us from Dauxwood. As well as being a keen and regular attendee with us, he’s also had a number of badges awarded by his old pack which have helped his score.
