The Cubs centenary year is drawing to a close so we wanted to give it a good send off by getting all the Cubs in the District together. The official birthday of Cubs is widely seen as 16 December as this was the day in 1916 when the section was launched.
Where: Midhurst Rother College, North Street, Midhurst, GU29 9DT. There should be plenty of car parking available but if full there is a public car park across the road behind the bus station.
When: Friday 16 December, starting at 1830 and ending at 2030.
What: We expect the evening to start with camp fire songs. At 1916 (7.16pm) all the Cubs will join Cubs across the country by remaking their Promise. We’ll then end the evening with some cake and drink and a disco.
Transport: You will need to make your own way to and from Midhurst
Who: This event is open to all our Cubs – we have 16 Cubs on the guest list
Cost: There is a £1 per person charge but we paid that for you using our Parbrook Cashback.
Paperwork: Please complete our online health form so that we have up to date emergency contact information for that evening. We know that it is a busy evening for Christmas parties and so your contact information may be different to usual. We don’t usually ask for transport information but if you are car sharing please give us details so that we know who is travelling with whom.
Wear: You should wear your uniform. If possible leave coats in the car so that we don’t have a pile to look after.
Arrivals and departures: With a whole district of Cubs moving about there is likely to be a certain amount of chaos. Please follow the instructions of the car park marshalls. You’ll need to check in with Jacala or Raksha. Please don’t leave without making sure that one of us knows that you have gone.
This is a District event organised by the Petworth & Pulborough Sussex100 team.
