This year the theme for the Billingshurst Show was red, white and blue. We decided to go with a French theme – vive la France.
This allowed us to mix French painters with revolutionary aristos who cowered on the back of the float in the shadow of Madame Guillotine.
We were delighted to be awarded third place in the parade – the first time we’ve been placed for a number of years. Our thanks go to Tracy for arranging the float, Akela, Linda and Ken for working so hard on the designs and to all the Cubs that came along on the day and dressed up so nicely.
Once we arrived at the field our stall invited people to dunk a Cub. It proved very popular and we were able to raise £87 for group funds.
