Each year, on the second Saturday in May, Scouts from across the world are invited to take part in a hike as part of the international Jamboree on the trail.
This was our third year of taking part and 5 Cubs were part of our group of 19 that returned to the South Downs. It was great that so many family members were able to join us for our hike. After a damp morning the day turned out to be bright although a bit windy on the exposed sections of the route.
Cub leader, Nick Wainewright said “it’s the first time I’ve been part of Jamboree on the Trail and it has been a great afternoon. Shame we didn’t get more Cubs but the ones sitting at home have definitely missed out”
Each Cub that attended gets an extra hike added to their Hikes Away badge score and all our walkers will receive a JOTT18 souvenir badge.
